It's the story of how my son saved Christmas for me. It will probably go down in my "Favorite Post Hall of Fame" when all is said and done in my writing adventures.
Stephanie of Momma Be Thy Name selected it to be a part of her "Momma's 12 Days of Christmas". My piece is in excellent company there. It was supposed to be posted today, but because of the suffocating sadness that enveloped us all at the end of last week, my entry was bumped up to Saturday. Stephanie thought that people might need a "feel-good" post...one that would leave them smiling, even if only for a moment. I'm completely flattered that she felt my entry would fit the bill in possibly accomplishing that. I'm honored that my story might be given the opportunity to lift someone's spirit during a time when they may need it most. This makes me love this little piece of writing even more.
Please know that this isn't a brag. It's a pride that I seldom feel about my writing. It's an inspiration to pour even more of myself into my writing in the future. It's a story with a happy ending. There really aren't enough of those these days. I sincerely hope that it reminds you that despite all of the tragedy and hard times that so many of us feel or see all around us, once in a while, the universe does something sort of magical for someone who really needs it. And that lucky person will never be the same.

This will be my last holiday themed post of the year. I'm fairly certain that I've exhausted all my related material for the year anyway.
I wish you and yours healthy and happy days ahead! Thank you for the kind words, the support and encouragement, and the stories that you've shared with me this year. Please know how much each and every one has meant to me. I look forward to continuing this journey together.
P.S. I promise not to write a New Year's Resolution post. You're welcome. :)
